Allocation Historical Summary

The allocation historical summaries show the total dollars returned to a local sales taxing city, county, special purpose district or transit authority by the Comptroller's office for their local sales tax collection. The payments are listed by month and totaled by year. Allocation amounts are dependent upon the timing and accuracy of taxpayers' returns, but generally represent taxes collected on sales made two months or more prior to the allocation payment.

Allocation Mixed Beverage Historical Summary

Quarterly Mixed Beverage Tax allocation payments to the cities and counties are summarized in the Mixed Beverage Tax Allocation Histories. The payments are listed according to the month in which they were distributed and totaled for each calendar year. Mixed Beverage Tax allocation amounts are dependent upon the timing and accuracy of taxpayers' returns and payments, but generally represent taxes remitted to the Comptroller's office during the calendar quarter immediately preceding the month the allocation is distributed.

Allocation Payment Detail

The allocation payment detail shows the components of the total dollars returned to a local sales taxing city, county, special purpose district or transit authority by the Comptroller's office for their local sales tax collections. The components of each payment are listed by month. Detailed information for the most recent 16 allocation payments is available at this site. The search feature may execute by City, County, MTA, or Special Purpose District.

Corporation Search

To provide more efficient access to the Franchise Tax Certificate of Account Status information. The search feature may be executed by Corporation Company Name, File Number, or Tax Identification.

Crude Oil and Natural Gas

The Crude Oil and Natural Gas Application allows anyone to search for taxpayer and lease information. It also allows taxpayers and their representatives to view their tax reports and account balances.

Economic Development Corporation Report

All Section 4A and 4B city development corporations must file an annual report with the Comptroller. The report must include the corporation's primary economic development objectives, total revenues and expenditures for the preceding fiscal year, types of revenues and expenditures and a list of the corporation's capital assets. Data from these reports are compiled by the Comptroller and reported biennially to the Legislature.

Electronic Data Interchange

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is designed for businesses reporting a large number of outlets, leases, schedules or authorities for Crude Oil, Direct Pay, International Fuels Tax Agreement (IFTA), Motor Fuels, Natural Gas and Sales Tax. EDI is the electronic exchange of routine business data. It works because it relies on a standard system (813) developed under the guidelines of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Accredited Standards Committee (ASCX12).

Fuels Tax Permit & Signed Statement Search

To provide more efficient access to the Fuels Permits. The search feature may be executed by Company Name, Taxpayer Number, Tax Type, Permit Type, Signed Statement Number and more.

Licensed Customs Broker Export Certification System (LCBECS)

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' LCBECS system enables a licensed Texas Customs Broker and their authorized employees to enter export certification documentation and print the export certification certificate via the Internet. The system provides a Certification Identification Number and confirmation message when the export certification information is successfully submitted. In addition to the adding of an export certification, users are able to change, cancel, view and search certifications.

Local Sales Tax Rate Search

To provide quick information of the Local Sales Tax Rate. The search feature may be executed by City or County Name.

Natural Gas Tax - Estimating Tax Reduction for Certain High-Cost Gas

Estimates the reduced tax rate for wells spudded or completed after August 31, 1996 and before September 1, 2010. High-cost gas leases may qualify for a reduced natural gas severance tax rate. Enter the Total Drilling and Completion Costs For High-Cost Gas Well and the completion. The application will calculate the Reduced Tax Rate.

Property Tax Arbitrator Registry Search

Allows users to search the Property Tax Arbitrator Registry. Displays Arbitrator information and allows users to view selected Arbitrator resumes.

Quarterly Sales Tax Historical Data

This report retrieves quarterly sales tax historical data for the state, in-state only or out-of-state only, and by city, county or MSA. Reports are available for all 11 SIC Major Industry Divisions, plus "All Industries" and "Other". Reports cover the period from the first calendar quarter of 1989 through the currently available quarter. The reports show gross sales, amount subject to state sales tax, and the number of reporting outlets.

Rate History

The local sales and use tax rate history shows the current and prior sales tax rates imposed by a local jurisdiction, along with the effective date and end date of each tax. Rate histories for cities who have elected to impose an additional tax for property tax relief, Economic and Industrial Development Section 4A/4B, Sports and Community Venue, Municipal Development, and Street maintenance and Repair also show the effective date, end date, and rate of each tax imposed.

Retailer Inventory Tracking System

Distributors and wholesalers are required to report their sales of beer, ale, wine, cigarettes, cigars and tobacco to Texas retailers. The monthly reports must be filed electronically. Each taxpayer responsible for filing the report must have access to the secure WebFile site. A personal identification number will be given to the taxpayer once the taxpayer submits contact information and an e-mail address to the Comptroller's office.

Sales Taxpayer Search

Allows taxpayers to verify the status of a sales tax permit or determine if a particular business has a valid sales tax permit. The search feature may be executed by Taxpayer Number, FEI Number, Legal Name, Owner Name, Business Name or Zip Code.

Sheriffs And Constables Fee Report

County Commissioners Court must provide written notice to the Comptroller by October 15th each year of all fees for services performed by the offices of the Sheriff and Constables.

State-to-Vendor Payment Info-Online - Search

Provides state agencies with a method of making non-confidential direct deposit and warrant payment information available to their vendors through the Internet. The Payment Search may be executed by Agency Number, Texas Identification Number, Federal Tax Identification Number, Social Security Number.

The Texas Mileage Guide shows the mileage between locations and calculates the reimbursement based on a per-mile rate.

The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts' WebFile program enables taxpayers to electronically file and pay Cigarette Direct Sales Tax returns via the Internet. The WebFile program calculates tax due based on the tax return data entered and provides a confirmation number when the transmission is received. Taxpayers filing tax due reports make a payment by electronic fund transfer (TEXNET).
